Austin entrepreneurs found MobiTX, Inc., a mobile advertising company that provides Free Mobile Airtime for mobile users.

Additionally, the Austin based company offers its Transactional Mobile MarketingTM platform to advertisers and marketers that are looking to target the 250,000,000 US mobile phone users. In addition to its Transactional Mobile Marketing platform, the company also offers GPS and SMS-based marketing solutions to its clients.

MobiTX is be led by CEO, Dave Powell, former senior executive at Austin based MessageOne (acquired by Dell in February 2008). Prior to MessageOne, Powell served as President and CEO of Metapa, (now Greenplum) in Los Angeles, CA. "We are all very excited about this new venture and operating in the mobile advertising sector," said Dave Powell. Trey Ikard will serve as President of MobiTX. Ikard was formerly an executive with MessageOne and was the founder, President and CEO of HillCast Technologies, Inc.
